Our Contract
Contracts are concluded in English and are subject to the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
When you place an order with us, you are making an offer to buy goods. We will send you an e-mail to confirm that we have received your order.
Once we have checked the price and availability of the goods, we will e-mail you to confirm that we accept your order, and that a contract has been made between us.
In the unlikely event that the goods are no longer available, or that we have made a pricing mistake, we will advise you of this. You will not receive an e-mail confirming acceptance of your order, and there will be no contract between us.
Payment
Secure credit card payments will be processed by Google checkout, allowing for different billing / delivery addresses.
Shipping and Handling
Shipping and handling charges are included for UK mainland - please enquire for shipping elsewhere
Delivery
Orders received before 2pm are normally sent out the same working day (Monday to Friday excluding holiday periods). We use either a courier service or Royal Mail (this may take 2-7 working days).
If the goods are damaged in transit you must contact us within 48 working hours of the date of delivery; a claim must be made in writing within 7 days of the date of delivery. If item is lost in transit contact us promptly. Delivery via Royal Mail can not be classed as missing until 15 working days has lapsed.
Cancellation
If you wish to cancel your contract, you may do so up to 7 working days after the date of delivery. To do this, please e-mail or write to us.
If you cancel, you must return the goods to us at your own expense. The goods must be packaged adequately to protect against damage. Where damage or deterioration has occurred due to unreasonable care, we will charge you for the reduction in value.
If you fail to return the goods, we will arrange for collection and will charge you the direct costs incurred.
A reason for cancellation would be appreciated for our records.
Returns/Warranties
If there is a problem with the goods, please contact us. We will deal with the matter in accordance with your legal rights.
Prior to returning any goods to us, please contact us to obtain and complete a notice of goods return slip available by post or email. This will enable us to deal with the matter quickly and efficiently.
All our products carry a 12 month manufacturer’s warranty; many products have a longer warranty period.
Any goods returned during the warranty period must be returned explaining the nature of the problem along with the customer’s details. The goods will be repaired or replaced as necessary. However misuse or abuse of the product will invalidate any warranty. Please note that any products deemed to be faulty will be returned to us with postage paid by the customer. Gate Automation UK Ltd will not be held responsible for any added labour costs to the customer, for the removal of equipment and installation of replacement products.
Warranty is covered from the date of purchase not date of installation, with the customer stated on the invoice and non-transferable to any third parties
Out of warranty repairs will be subject to charges which cover the labour, replacement components and carriage. Where we deem a repair to be uneconomical, we will contact you for a decision on our course of action.
