The Mechanical 8K2 Edge is a simple, highly durable safety edge design. This fully compliant and CE marked edge uses 8k2 resistive switches protected by an aluminium channel, covered in shock absorbing foam. Further more, the Compact can be quickly and easily cut down on site by 400mm from the bottom of the edge. Our safety edges have been specially designed to make them easy to work with and quick to install. A wireless kit can be fitted internally on this safety edge.

Description

Mechanical safety edge is an 8K2 resistive device where micro-switches are held within an aluminum structure. The edge has a rubber surround with an flexible internal blue foam which acts as a cushion on impact.

The cushion allows the edge to react to side impacts as well as inline. The micro-switches are positioned to allow easy adjustment of length by up to 400 mm.

Simple to install and wire into existing circuits. Cut to size in with a hacksaw in one minute, fit three clips on to the gate, clip in place and then when wired fix the end caps with two screws.
