Making A Purchase

Making a purchase is simple. Just browse our website, click on any items that you wish to buy and add them to your shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on “Order” and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order process.

Payment

Secure credit card payments will be processed by Paypal checkout.

We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Back ordered items are not charged until they are shipped.

What information do we collect?
Whenever you visit our website and interact with us, we may collect personally identifiable information (such as first and last names, business address, email addresses and telephone numbers) that you provide.

How we use and share your personal information

This information is used by SEA UK Ltd to enhance your relationship with us, respond to your requests, and communicate with you about products, services, special offers or events that may be of interest to you.

Your details are for our internal use only; we will not pass these on to any other parties, without your permission.

You may receive periodic mailings, telephone calls, or e-mails from SEA UK Ltd with information on new products or services, discounts, special promotions, or forthcoming events. You may opt out of receiving such communications by contacting us on 0845 233 1020.

Delivery

Small inexpensive items are delivered via Royal Mail Recorded Delivery at a cost according to weight and size.

Small costly goods may be delivered either by Royal Mail Special Delivery or via an express courier, according to weight and size.

All large and valuable items will be sent via an express courier.

All delivery prices are subject to VAT

Orders received before 12:30pm are normally sent out the same working day (Monday to Friday excluding holiday periods). Orders sent by Royal Mail may take 2-7 working days. Orders sent by couriers can take 2 – 5 working days.
If an item is out of stock or no longer available the customer will be notified.

If the goods are damaged in transit you must contact us within 48 working hours of the date of delivery; a claim must be made in writing within 7 days of the date of delivery. If an item is lost in transit, please contact us promptly. Delivery via Royal Mail can not be classed as missing until 15 working days has lapsed.

Our Contract

Contracts are concluded in English and are subject to the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.

When you place an order with us, you are making an offer to buy goods. We will send you an e-mail to confirm that we have received your order.

Once we have checked the price and availability of the goods, we will e-mail you to confirm that we accept your order, and that a contract has been made between us.

In the unlikely event that the goods are no longer available, or that we have made a pricing mistake, we will advise you of this. You will not receive an e-mail confirming acceptance of your order, and there will be no contract between us.

Please notify us of any changes to your personal information immediately, by contacting sales team by email or telephone.

Consumer Rights

You have a legal right to cancel a Contract under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.

This cancellation right does not apply in the case of any made-to-measure or custom-made products.

Your legal right to cancel a Contract commences from the date of our order Confirmation.

If you have received delivery of the products, you have a period of seven working days (starting from the day after receipt of that delivery) in which you may cancel the contract. Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays are not classed as working days and are not included in this period.

Specification and usage

As our products are updated, we reserve the right to alter the design or specification at any time without notice or liability.

Fixing and application of our products is the responsibility of the Buyer and is not the responsibility of ourselves.

It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the item purchased is suitable for it’s intended use, that they use it in the manner for which it was designed and in compliance with any legislation in force – SEA UK Ltd will not be held responsible for any injury, damage or loss associated with the purchase or use of this equipment however caused.

Cancellation

If you wish to cancel your contract, please e-mail, fax, or write to us. We suggest that you keep a copy of your cancellation notification for your own records. A cancellation by e-mail or by post, is effective from the date you sent us the e-mail or posted the letter to us.

All goods must be returned to us in their original boxes with all instructions and parts included.  If the good arrive to us damaged a charge will be made for any repairs required.

For cancellations within 7 days, a full refund will be given for the price you paid for the goods and their delivery to you. provided the goods are returned in their original boxes with all instructions and parts included.

Cancellations after 7 days will result in a minimum re-stocking charge of 20% of the invoice value.

We will refund you on the credit card or debit card used to pay for the original order.

A refund will be processed within 30 calendar days, from the day on which the returned goods are received by ourselves.

Your reason for cancellation would be appreciated for our records.

Returning a product

If there is a problem with the goods, please contact us and we will deal with the matter in accordance with your legal rights.

Any goods that have been installed will be repaired and returned.

You have a legal obligation to take reasonable care of the goods while they are in your possession.

If we do agree to the return of goods, they must be delivered all charges paid to us, unless they are faulty or not as described.

Goods should be returned to us as soon as reasonably possible, unused and in their original packaging.

GDPR

How Gate Automation UK Ltd use and store your data:

The SEA UK Limited Group of businesses includes Gate Automation UK Ltd. Both companies share and store your information on the same secure networks and local computer drives. SEA UK Limited does not accept responsibility for the lose of data stored with 3rd parties such as those listed below:
               •   Sage Group plc (used for all order processing except payment details)
               •   Google LLC (used find local trades people)
               •   Guru LTD (used for web hosting)
               •   PayPal plc (used for payment processing)

Data use and storage – General Public.
Two cloud encrypted networks are used to secure your data. Contact details and addresses necessary to find you a local installer are securely held in an encrypted map on a Google Server. Contact details and sales information are stored on the SAGE 50 accounts cloud. Emails are stored with our web hosting company GURU Ltd. Payment details entered on the website are not stored on any of our systems and are processed by Paypal through their secure servers.

Data use and storage – Trade.
If you are a business and have contacted us for a quotation or made a purchase in the past we may contact you from time to time with relevant offers on products in our range or share important information with you such as pricing changes or holiday closing times.  Your data will not be publicly shared and will be stored on an encrypted system.

For the purposes of data protection, a business or member of the trade is considered to be anyone who is quoted or supplied products under an account reference such as R## (eg R30), or under a specific account reference such as AAA## (eg AAA01 or BBB02), as these account references would be given trade discounts.

The location of a trade business is held on an encrypted Google maps server so that SEA and Gate Automation can recommend said business to end users who are searching for a gate installer in their area.

Your businesses information will be held encrypted on Sage 50 cloud accounts network and will be used only by Gate Automation Group companies.

Verbal information provided to a SEA UK LIMITED or Gate Automation will not be stored without your express permission (see exception below) and will only be used to complete a specific task in question before being deleted. Examples of verbal information include but are not limited to: Card Payment details, sensitive site information, business operational information, etc.

Information relating to product failures and returns acquired through verbal and nonverbal means is stored on a secure cloud network. This information can include Purchase Order number, company name or individual contact name and the circumstances surrounding the return.

SEA UK LImited Group companies do not share your information with any 3rd parties for our own financial gain or for marketing and sales purposes.
