The OPYN is an intercom that uses the homes internet connection to provide a video communication from your door or gate wherever you are in the world. You can see who is delivering packages when you are out or even just in the back garden. If your Wi-Fi does not reach your gate or your internet isn’t stable you can have the OPY with its own GSM router capable of working will all mobile phone data networks.
The panel comes complete with an inbuilt code pad for controlled access and even has a QR code identification system that is ideal for holiday homes or air B&B. Send the renter a picture of the QR code with their booking and they can open the gates or door for a period of time you program via your phone. Controlled access via the easy to operate App, separate codes for cleaners master code for yourself.
The Daitem range of wireless intercoms are no longer available in the UK.
The Opyn Wi-fi or 4G versions are the perfect replacements using your phone as the mobile handset means that their range is much better than any standard wireless system.
If your gates are a long distance from your house and there is no ethernet cable installed, you could use the 4G system.
Alternatively, If you do not want to use a sim card system a powerline network adapter could be used to send the signal over the mains power supply feeding your gate. There are special wireless network bridges using the 5.8GHz range which can send WiFi signals up to 10Km.
