Add an RCD and MCB local isolation switch to your gate installation to comply with 17th edition IEE wiring. The RCD switch is required for any external installation to insure electrical safety. It will be needed whenever you need to work on 230V mains supplied gate systems and provides a convenient on off switch near to the gate control unit.
